The Information Desk is a service provided by the Acadia Students' Union to the student body, staff, faculty and the general community.  
Call us at 585-2110
It is located on the Main Level of the Students' Centre. 

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10am-4:30pm

The Information Desk provides the following services:

 

 

POSTAL SERVICES

 

Including stamps, various sized envelopes, X-Press Post, Priority Courier, and packaging accessories.  For more information about tracking X-Press Post and Priority Courier packages, products and services, rates and prices, please visit the Canada Post website at www.canadapost.ca.

We do not accept packages from courier companies for students! 

 

 

ACADIAN INTERCITY BUS TICKETS

 

Are available for one-way or return travel for destinations within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.  Visit the website www.smtbus.com or call toll free 1-800-567-5151 for schedule information and changes.

 

KINGS TRANSIT BUS TICKETS

 

Are available for travel between Windsor and Weymouth.  For more information visit the website at www.kingstransit.ns.ca

 

ASU MAILBOXES

 

Can be rented for $40.00 plus tax per year.  Acadia Students' Union does not allow students to share mailboxes.  Keys must be returned at the end of the year if a student does not wish to renew their mailbox. Failure to return you key will result in a $25.00 charge to your student account.  Outgoing mail leaves the Information Desk at 3:00pm daily and incoming mail is sorted by 5:00pm in the mail room.  Parcels are kept for a maximum of two weeks.  Internal mailboxes are available upon request.  Mailboxes that hold accumulated mail for over a month will automatically be closed unless prior arrangements have been made with the Building Manager.

 

PHOTOCOPYING/FAX SERVICES

 

Are provided.  Our new photocopier provides great quality and faster service at 10 cents per copy.  Local, long distance and international faxes can be sent and received.  Our fax number is 542-3901.

 

DRY-CLEANING

 

A service brought to you by the ASU in conjunction with Vail's Dry-Cleaning.  We are a drop-off and pick-up location for your convenience.  The ASU is not responsible for items that are not picked up after two weeks.

 

 

TICKETS/POSTERS

 

Are sold for most upcoming events and activities that are hosted by the ASU.  A maximum of 6 posters for events can be posted free of charge on the bulletin boards within the Students' Centre. Notices must be stamped and hung in the appropriate areas by the Building Manager on duty, or they will be removed without prior notice.
